Karnataka: Teacher in Karnataka’s Shivamogga tells students to ‘go to Pakistan

Manjula Devi, a government school teacher in Karnataka, has been transferred and an inquiry has been initiated against her after she asked two Muslim students in her classroom “India is not your country. This a country of Hindus. You should go to Pakistan". Devi allegedly made the Islamophobic remarks on August 31 to two Class V students at a government school in Shivamogga’s Tipu Nagar. According to Nasrallah, the president of the district unit of the Janata Dal Secular’s minority wing, Devi was teaching Class 5 on Thursday when two students began bickering among themselves. She scolded the boys, both from the Muslim community, and unfolded her hate.
