A group of men verbally assaulted a Kashmiri youth calling him “Pakistani” and “stone pelter” when he refused to chant “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. Despite repeatedly saying “Hindustan zindabad” and asserting that he is an Indian first and then a Kashmiri, the angry mob kept passing slurs. The Kashmiri youth said that he did not know the meaning of these slogans due to language barrier and thus, will not utter them.
