Goa: Hindu groups demand action against halal-certified products
Several Hindu organizations in Goa called for a ban on the sale of Halal-certified products in the state, mirroring the decision made by the Uttar Pradesh government. Representatives of these organizations submitted a memorandum at Ponda police station in South Goa, urging for a prohibition on the production, storage, and sale of Halal-certified products in Goa.
The delegation included members from Bajrang Dal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Satyavijaya Naik from the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, speaking to reporters, commended Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his actions against 'Halal' certified products.
