Maharashtra: Mob assaults Muslim boy for being with a Hindu girl.

In August 16, Muslim boy got brutally attacked by a group of Hindu men who alleged he was with a Hindu girl. The incident happened on 31st July at Mumbai's Bandra Terminus railway station. The boy was slapped and beaten by the mob, while the girl pleaded for them to stop. The attackers, chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ dragged the boy outside the station, claiming they had “saved a minor Hindu girl.” The Muslim boy faced physical assault merely based on the suspicion of being with a Hindu girl. State Interventions: Zeeshan Siddique, a local MLA, and Mumbai Youth Congress president urged a proper police investigation. However, the police delayed response and the authorities didn’t take any action at all, as noted by AIMIM leader Waris Pathan.
