Delhi University: Students Protest Unjust Denial of Bhim Army Students Federation-Fraternity Movement Alliance in DUSU Election
Students at Delhi University staged a protest outside the Arts faculty in North Campus on Saturday, denouncing the perceived unjust denial of the Bhim Army Students Federation-Fraternity Movement alliance’s candidacy in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election. The DUSU Election Committee rejected the nominations of all BASF-Fraternity Alliance candidates, including the presidential candidate Shalinder Singh, as well as the previously approved nomination of the vice-presidential candidate, Yaseen K Mohammed. Lubaib Basheer, national general secretary of the Fraternity Movement alleged that the election committee couldn’t come up with a convincing explanation behind the unprecedented rejection of the alliance’s candidature.
