Goa: Tension Over Defamatory Messages Against Muslim Community on Social Media

Tension prevailed in some parts of Goa following the alleged posting of defamatory messages on social media by unindentified individuals, causing distress to the Muslim community. In response, Muslim organizations filed police complaints in Panaji, Margao, Ponda, and Mapusa. Additionally, they lodged a complaint with the cyber crime department, urging the arrest of those responsible for creating fake accounts on Instagram and making objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad and Islam.
