Uttarakhand: Three Dargahs bulldozed, smashed by Hindutva group

On August 27, members of a Hindutva group-Devbhoomi Raksha Abhiyan- vandalized at least three Dargahs, by chanting “Jai Shri Ram” slogans, in the Amit Gram area of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Vandalizers used sledgehammers to smash the headstones of the Dargahs. In a video of the said incident, a bulldozer can be seen clearing the debris of demolished Dargahs. “It is Devbhoomi not Mazarbhoomi,” a Hindutva man can be heard saying in one of the videos as he threatens that all such” illegal Mazars” anywhere in the state will be demolished.
