West Bengal: Muslim man beaten severely to death over allegations of theft
Sheikh Nazrul, a Muslim man from Chalke Para, West Bengal, was beaten to death by three people, including a flower merchant named Shanu Chattopadhyay, on suspicion of theft. Nazrul and his son Rahul were transporting iron parts via a Toto e-rickshaw when they were cornered and attacked by Bhola, a flower merchant. Nazrul fell critically ill and was rushed to Chandannagar Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased worked in a factory and often engaged buying and selling old iron parts. Police apprehended Bhola and interrogated the suspects. CCTV footage was examined and a case was filed based on the complaint.
