Delhi: Muslim Man Assaulted and Killed in Nand Nagri, Over False Theft Accusation
In northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri area, a 26-year-old Muslim nam named Mohammed Israr succumbed to injuries after being tied to a pole and brutally assaulted by locals on 26 September. The assailants falsely accused Israr of theft. Abdul Wajid, Israr’s father found him outside their house on Tuesday morning, covered in injuries. Wajid, in his complaint, said that the attackers were from the nearby Sundar Nagri area. Isaar had come to participate in a religious program, where he picked up the Prasad and ate it. This action provoked a Hindu mob, leading to a brutal assault that ultimately resulted in his death.
