Delhi: PIL seeks removal of historical facts about Taj Mahal construction from textbooks.

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) had been filed in the Delhi High Court, requesting the removal of what was claimed to be "incorrect historical facts" regarding the construction of the Taj Mahal by Shah Jahan from history textbooks used in schools and colleges.

The PIL urged the court to issue a writ of mandamus, instructing the respondents to eliminate the historical facts pertaining to the construction of the Taj Mahal by Shah Jahan from history books and textbooks utilized in schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.
