Punjab: Violent Attacks on Kashmiri Students at Desh Bhagat University in Punjab Amid Admission Transfer Controversy

A group of Kashmiri students were subjected to violent attacks after a protest erupted at Desh Bhagat University in the Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab following the university’s decision to transfer their admissions to a college that doesn’t have any accreditation. Several students were arrested, forcibly dragged outside, and brutally beaten. Hijabs of the Muslim female students were torn off deliberatively. Following the protest, the University was shut down until further notice.
