Uttar Pradesh: Muslim woman dies after she was shot by police during a passport inquiry.

Ishrat Jahan, a Muslim woman was ‘accidentally’ shot in the head by the Aligarh Police. On December 8th Jahan was shot by Inspector Manoj Sharma during a passport verification inquiry.

She breathed her last while fighting for her life at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, late on December 13th.
